Summer’s Calling!
If you live in Los Angeles, this getup should already be on your radar. East Coasters, you’re going to have to wait a minute, but summer’s coming, we promise! Chloe Sevigny is routinely an inspiration to us over at The Inside Source, and this clean look she sported back in 2009 is still relevant. We updated it with a pair of Perspex Stella McCartney heels and a Phillip Lim 31 Minute Bag (available here on eBay), but the white blazer and jean shorts are basics you should always have in your closet.

Atmospheric

There’s nothing quite like being at a runway show. The cameras flashing, the music that rattles the walls, the beautiful people in beautiful clothes — it really is a sight to be seen. For those of us who can’t make the fashion circuit, there are photographers who do a pretty bang-up job making sure we feel like we’re there. Style.com has picked their favorite “atmospheric” shots from last season. You can check them all out here.

eBay Search Alert: Stella McCartney Ankle Boots
To all the women who braved Blizzard Nemo in New York… we’d like to share these angular ankle boots by Stella McCartney. The best part? It’s platformed with a biodegradable rubber sole and faux leather to keep up with the designer’s “be kind to animals” philosophy. The shoes can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue or you can download the eBay Now app (for the NYC area only) and try to get these shoes delivered to your home in less than an hour. To check out more Stella McCartney booties on eBay, click here.

Stellar
Stella McCartney turns things up a notch with these futuristic mirrored shades. The green lenses paired with the classic tortoiseshell frames make for an unexpected combo that, in theory, seems a little over the top. In practice, they’re just kind of amazing.

Jail Break
This year is going to see the return of some very bold pattern choices. We’re not just talking about the previously seen maxed-out mashup of acid florals and cheetah prints (thank you, Stella McCartney, we really did love your Resort 2013 collection), but something more simplistic and statement worthy: The stripe. When Marc Jacobs sent Ruby Jean Wilson down the runway wearing only knickers and a striped graphic t-shirt for his Spring 2013 show, he unleashed a monster of pent-up desire for prison chic. Case in point: H&M is already hopping on the bandwagon. Above is one of their “Key Pieces” from the Spring / Summer 2013 lookbook.

Bidding Adieu to 2012
It’s been a massive year. We reelected a president, endured — for better and, unfortunately, worse — the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, watched the EU needle their way through total financial collapse. The list goes on. But tonight, friends, we dance! There’s no better way to celebrate the culmination of the last 365-day cycle than to put on your favorite party dress and hit the dance floor. So raise your glass, say a toast, and cut that proverbial rug… just make sure you’ve got comfortable shoes on.
