Curator Corner: Hermes Scarf
eBay curator Ashley Avignone recently put together this group of items entitled “Geometric” for eBay Today. The description of her own collection is short and sweet — “rough around the edges” she writes.
Case in point, this Hermes scarf (seen above), entitled Perspective, by A.M. Cassandre, a French graphic designer, commercial poster artist, painter, and typeface designer. To enjoy more graphic inspirations, take a look at the rest of the Geometric collection.

Fifty Shades of Gray
When it comes to functional (and fashionable) wardrobes, models do it best. It makes sense, really, given that these girls are on the go nearly 24/7, living on airplanes and out of suitcases. They’ve got to be comfortable while still knowing the lens is going to be on them at all times. Here, model Jac Jagaciak is living proof that sticking to your staples can still be stylish. The mixing and matching of blacks and grays allows each individual piece to shine on its own. To easily put together this look on your own, check out this sporty, dark gray jacket with shearling hood by Reed Krakoff on Polyvore. And, while you’re at it, grab a gray cashmere scarf over on eBay.

Love for Louis
First seen set against blue icebergs around the neck of model Werner Schreyer in Louis Vuitton’s 2012 Autumn/ Winter campaign, the camel and charcoal pattern in this gorgeous scarf (seen above) immediately communicated a sense of absolute luxury that the brand is known for. It’s subtle, yet signature. If you’re looking for something a little more traditionally flash, eBay has a few wool scarf options to check out here.

Chris Benz for eBay Holiday Collective 2012

By Jauretsi

"I’ve always felt that I was part of the eBay family just because I spent so much time on eBay myself," says Designer Chris Benz. It’s a good thing he felt that way, because we’re thrilled over the moon he got inspired to make a Limited Edition series of items for eBay this Holiday Season. Diverse in range, from a scarf to stationary, the collection embodies his signature palettes, which we’re proud to release just around the corner, November 12, 2012. To view all the Chris Benz pieces, visit eBay Holiday Collective Products

Trendspotting: The Black Neck Scarf

By Jauretsi

Recently seen on the catwalks of St. Laurent’s Spring 2013 RTW, we noticed a common theme of large black scarves tied into bows around the necks of darling models. Worn with either pants or with a dress, the look symbolizes old world chic. Here’s a few vintage Yves St Laurent scarves found on eBay to help you duplicate this look straight off the runway.

eBay Search Alert: The Burberry Red Plaid Scarf

By Jauretsi

We’ve all seen the tan Burberry scarves draped around the most elegant necks, but lately I’ve been craving the red plaid by the same brand. They are a hot item on eBay, which of course makes me crave them even more…there is almost a sexy lumberjack feeling to them. Currently, there are none available on eBay, but I found 3 available last week for sale. Keep those eyes peeled to jump fast.
