Fashion Week Has Begun

The annual circus of glam and fashion just launched in New York yesterday for a whole week. Here’s a list of confident reminders from BCBG Max Azria’s Fall 2014 show to all their models pre-runway. You see, all gorgeous women need words of encouragement too.

Until you get next seasons looks, dig into some BCBG Max Azria finds on eBay

Fancy Footwork
If Michael Jackson were still around, these shoes would have his name written all over them. Alessandro Dell’Acqua added some much needed pizazz to the occasionally frumpy Penny Loafer for his No. 21 line. Keep Mr. Dell’Acqua on your radar by adding him to your eBay Feed.

Gladys Perint Palmer
This sketch — completed with ink, paint, pastels, and glitter, no less — of a Christian Lacroix look circa 2009 is simply to die for. It’s no surprise, really, given Palmer’s impressive resume. The artist has worked with everyone from the New York Times to the Museum of Modern Art and countless top-notch publications in between.

Matthew Williamson’s Girl Grows Up

"I am still a Matthew Williamson woman—just with a few gray hairs," Matthew Williamson tells Style.com. His latest collection presented this Sunday in London showed a more mature side of his archetype lady. "My girl is growing up," he continues, "she is no longer on a perennial vacation—she is in her thirties and forties now; she has kids, a job, and responsibilities. She is the same free spirit inside but, like the rest of us, maturing—and I have to respond to that." Praise the new batch of sexy soccer moms.
