Sometimes the perfect outfit jumps out at you for the most simple reasons. Whether you like it or not, they’re back. I’m talking about athletic shorts. I wore these all the time for the better part of the 90s, for both fashion (spandex floral shorts for school) and function (softball practice). Just like sweatpants, which became chic when designers started making them in fabrics other than terry cloth, athletic shorts are getting another look. Perhaps all I was missing before was a fur coat to pair them with.
