Pool Party Inspiration
Tuesday night, eBay and the CFDA along with NYC Digital threw a summer shindig to celebrate New York with fashion friends and digital guru’s. What better way to have a summer jam than decorating the pool? We couldn’t resist.
Inspired by the floating orbs, we found few different mood globes, such as these LED Mood Light Balls on eBay. Start prepping your next pool party.

Party Time
Okay, this might sound silly, but we’ve all got to plan a party at one point or another — and it can be stressful. Just for fun, we thought we’d poke around eBay to see what their party supply selection was and, to be honest, it’s better than at the store. From giant helium spiral balloons to paper lanterns, eBay has pretty much has everything… for every occasion.

You Can’t Fake Fashion Launches with a Bang

Is there anything more fun than collaborating with 90 Top Designers to make a cool bag? Throwing the party to celebrate that collaboration! On Monday night, both Steven Kolb, Chief Executive Officer of the Council Designers of America (CFDA) and Devin Wenig, President of eBay Marketplaces, gathered around a “who’s who” in Fashion to toast to ”original design”. The campaign You Can’t Fake Fashion (launched the same day) aims at stopping counterfeit dead in its tracks. After dinner, it was my turn to take the floor by manning the turntables and… [MORE] getting the party bouncing with a bevy of hip guests bopping their heads up and down including Mara Hoffman, Pamela Love, Cushnie et Ochs, Rebecca Minkoff, Ruffian, and Steven Alan —  the list goes on and on. The bags (all on display) began to get ogled by party goers ready to take their bids. If you want to jump in the game, take a look at the entire YCFF collection here, and begin your bidding. The original tote is also available for $50. You have 5 more days to select the bag you love. Read more on eBay.

Bidding Adieu to 2012
It’s been a massive year. We reelected a president, endured — for better and, unfortunately, worse — the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, watched the EU needle their way through total financial collapse. The list goes on. But tonight, friends, we dance! There’s no better way to celebrate the culmination of the last 365-day cycle than to put on your favorite party dress and hit the dance floor. So raise your glass, say a toast, and cut that proverbial rug… just make sure you’ve got comfortable shoes on.

Chanel Throws a Beach Party
By Jauretsi
Last night, Chanel went homestyle with a chic Barbecue bonanza and quite possibly the best party of the week (although the week is still young). Cohosted by Art.sy, the bash took place in a tent behind Soho House Miami Beach with a gaggle of fabulous folks like Pharrell Williams, Damien Hirst, and Lenny Kravitz (yes, even Martha Stewart showed up to the beachside gathering). Me? I was tucked away in a booth with cool queen of the web, Sophia Amoruso of Nasty Gal bopping our heads to DJ Nick Cohen’s eclectic mash up set including “Girls” by Beastie Boys to ”Somethings Gotta Hold on Me” by Etta James. It wasn’t until Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” dropped that we noticed a fellow lady with great legs stand up and let loose to tear the rug. Go Demi!

Celebrating eBay Feed in LA

By Jauretsi

Monday night was a big night for eBay in Los Angeles, and Palihouse is where it all happened. Last month, eBay celebrated the new Feed in New York with East Coast magazine editors and creative friends. The LA gathering was hosted by stylist Annabel Tollman, who gracefully presented the new eBay Feed to West Coast media and creative types. In addition to the Feed, the Hollywood crowd got a peek at eBay’s upcoming Holiday Capsule Collection, a limited edition series of products ranging from design to fashion. The evening also presented the new 2013 “You Can’t Fake Fashion” tote bag, part of a collaboration between eBay and CFDA that raises awareness against counterfeit goods and celebrates original design. Altogether, the stylish LA guests had a ball and were privy to a wonderfully curated sneak peek of what’s to come with the new eBay.

One of our party guests, blogger Grasie Mercedes, took a fancy to Tibi’s lace embellished sweater as seen on her blog GrasieMercedes.com. “I’ve worn it at least 5 times in the past week” says the LA based writer, “obsessed!”.
