I Spy: NYC Map
Okay, so it doesn’t look like that much actual work happens at this adorable little desk setup, but it does serve as a fine display for some great odds and ends. You’ve got your butterfly collection, a taxidermied bird, a minty vintage lamp, and that large map of New York. We did some digging on eBay and found this map from 1945 in pristine condition, ready for framing and hanging above your own workspace.

Where Eco Meets Urban
Set high above an urban landscape, this office, with its pitched ceiling and exposed beams, feels like a cabin in the sky. Even the patterned carpet is reminiscent of water ripples or windswept sand dunes. And it’s not just the big things adding to the woodsy sentiment here; it’s the little ones, too. The bike imbues the space with an eco-friendly vibe, as do the hanging plants near the back. (Our money is on this office being in San Francisco or Portland, Oregon) If you’re looking to recreate this look on your own, we found this handmade eco-friendly rug by Surya on eBay for $113. And if you’re looking to rig up a few hanging plants of your own, look no further than here.
