If you’ve ever lived in Los Angeles, or even visited briefly, you’ll recognize the city’s familiar calling cards in the photographs of Devan Wells. The carports, the cars, the Mexican food, the midcentury architecture, even the Church of Scientology — flipping through this feed will make you feel like you’re living in that odd little bubble so many call home.

Simple and sturdy, the Barcelona Couch is the perfect answer to a piece of lounge-about furniture that doesn’t shout for space. Originally designed in 1930 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, it has been replicated by nearly everyone at a variety of price points. Good thing eBay’s got them by the boatloads. Natalia Vodianova really makes a room, doesn’t she? While coming across a print like this for your living room might be a task of sorts, this amazing floor lamp shouldn’t be a problem. We found a midcentury eyeball orb on eBay, a Cedric Hartman lamp, as well as a Castiglioni Arco floor lamp, which is about as close as you can come to the one seen here.

How do you accent a black brick wall? One word: warmth. The wood cabinets in the background and the gorgeous leather chair in camel make this office look less Deadhead garage and more Hermes handbag.
True to form, we did a little scouring of eBay to see what we could find to replicate this look in our own homes. Though we couldn’t find anything that exactly matched the absolute treasure of a chair seen in this picture, we did find some… [MORE] solid replacements. Check out this midcentury leather desk chair in a dark claret. This Danish modern swivel desk chair nearly gets it, nailing the camel coloring but designed to be more of a statement piece. If you’re looking for lamps, this black metal desk lamp from the ’50s is a must. Get ‘em before they’re gone!

Streamlined, creamy, and pared down, this loft is absolute perfection. The mid-century furniture is complementary to the geometry of the space, no piece too flamboyant or jarring. Minimalist, when done well, is never boring, and what we’re loving here are the rows of pottery along the back wall, as well as the pieces decorating the long table. We could think of one thing: Heath Ceramics.
Edith Heath opened her namesake company in 1948, and the company has… [MORE] been producing ceramics in their small factory in Sausilito, California ever since. Over the last sixty years, Heath has secured its place as one of the most, to coin the company’s own phrase, “enduring examples of mid-century design.” We’re all for keeping that tradition alive. Check out Heath’s wares on their website, or swing on over to eBay as an alternative.

The Coveteur recently photographed Rachel Zoe’s apartment along with all her knick knacks and gargantuan shoe collection. “Obsessed with this vintage mirrored coffee table” writes the stylist to the stars. “Mirrors in every form instantly add glamour to any home or office setting.” We couldn’t agree more so we did a little search for you on eBay for mirror coffeetables. Hint: If you add “midcentury” to your search, the selection gets better.
