Marilyn and More… This past weekend, we had the chance to check out Bert Stern’s “Original Mad Men” exhibition at the Staley Wise Gallery in New York (running through May 18th, 2013). On display were a selection of his works, including some of his infamous shots of Marilyn Monroe, as well as Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, and Marlon Brando. There’s something about a vintage black and white photograph (or colored image for that matter) to add a unique kick to a room. Blah to Bling

One of my favorite tricks is to make any outfit go from blah to bling by just adding one unexpected twist. Nothing achieves the lux look better than vintage costume jewelry, preferably with a rhinestone element…the goal is to twinkle. We found a picture of one our favorite fashion bloggers De Lune rocking this look. Think grandma’s broaches to Hepburn’s tiaras.
