Hanging with Megan Guip

In our tour for soulful homes, The Inside Source visits designer Megan Guip, who works with feathers and flowers to create one-of-a-kind pieces for her customers under the label Wilhelm. Two immediate home details that caught our eye was a world map that she kept on a desk near her arts & crafts. The other is an eye-popping collection of straw hats she collected over the years. Stay tuned next week for other home inspirations from the rising designer.

eBay has a whopping collection of straw hats to amass your own collection. If you like the idea of maps, check out some here too

To the Moon
Shopping for a child’s birthday? We can think of no better gift for the curious mind than a map of the solar system, like the one seen here. It’s available for purchase on eBay for the very low price of $33, which seems quite low considering the item is in great condition and dates back to 1904.

I Spy: Maps
If you could have one thing from this dining room, what would it be? I don’t know about you, but I’ve got my eye on the vintage map on the far back wall. It feels like a relic from my elementary school days, as worthy of nostalgia as overhead projectors, chalk erasers, and Bridge to Terabithia. Whether properly framed behind glass or simply nailed into the wall, old-school maps are a work of art in their own right. And for whatever decade you might have graduated elementary school, eBay has a plethora of vintage world map options to help you stroll down memory lane and decorate your apartment.
