Tom Ford
After two years of intimate and incredibly exclusive presentations for his eponymous line, Tom Ford is finally staging his first “real” runway show, which will take place during London Fashion Week. Ford cites the expansion of his brand as cause for the shift, with his gorgeous wares now being sold in 100 stores worldwide. He will be a welcome addition to a schedule that can sometimes seem lacking in comparison with the massive brands showcasing in New York, Paris, and Milan. Ford joins the ranks of Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane, and Burberry Prorsum. February can’t come soon enough.

Punk Rock Barbie

By Sade Lythcott

Keeping with the Met ball’s theme for next Spring, we can see Punk influence popping up all throughout London fashion week recently. Check out the makeup from the highly acclaimed Louise Gray SS13 show, where Gray reimagines Barbie as a punk rock goddess (with a nod to Basquiat?). See full images from Gray’s psychedelic show on Fashion Crusader.

London Fashion Week is Over

By Jauretsi

Now that London Fashion Week has passed, our UK eBay team is taking that big breather. You know, the one us New Yorkers embraced last weekend. Looking back at the inspiring week of creativity and fashion, I asked our London team what their fav 5 moments were… and yes, Lady Gaga was one of them.

(1) Philip Tracy’s show opened by Lady Gaga

(2) Kelly Osbourne looking amazing and supporting Henry at the House of Holland show that took place in a car parking lot

(3) Mary Katrantzou’s SS13 collection was unbelievable

(4) Pam Hogg’s show showing a ‘cheeky’ side

(5) British street style

London Dispatch: UK eBay, London Fashion Week
By Jauretsi
Our Fashion team in London is slowly recovering from London Fashion Week. While attending the marathon of events, our Style Stories team caught up with Designer Henry Holland to find out what a typical day in the life is like for him and the one wardrobe stable we should never get rid of…
Style Stories: What is a typical day at work for you?
Henry Holland: There is no typical day at House of Holland. From fittings for the new collection and design meetings to press interviews and meetings with licensee partners I am always kept busy. I do try to spend as much time as possible in the studio though.
Q: How long have you been designing?
A: 6 years, the next show will be our 12th
Q: What has been your proudest moment to date?
A: I always feel an immense sense of pride after each of the shows. I love the way everything comes together on the day and the adrenaline is always flowing.
Q: What’s the one piece in your wardrobe you’d never get rid of?
A: A well-fitting pair of jeans

Spot the Difference: LV

By Sade Lythcott

With London Fashion Week upon us, The Inside Source turns its attention to the iconic fashion haven Selfridges. To celebrate the launch of its most significant global artistic collaboration to date, Louis Vuitton unveiled an extraordinary take-over of both Selfridges’ legendary windows and its ever-changing Wonder Room. An unprecedented 24-window design, the Concept Store as well as a Giant Yayoi Kusama Statue announce the collaboration between Louis Vuitton, the illustrious Japanese artist, and Selfridges. Go behind the transformation of Selfridges here.

Also, for a more playful peak into the cavernous creative brain of this collaboration between Vuitton, Kusama & Selfridges, take a peek at the two playful short films entitled “Spot the Difference” starring the fashion blogger and style icon, Bip Ling. You can see film number one here and film number two here.

Can you spot the difference in the two films?

Insta-Peep-O-Gram: London Fashion Week
By Jenny Bahn
Leave it to Katie Grand, editor-in-chief of Love Magazine, to come up with some killer shots of London Fashion Week. I love the styling here for Sister by Sibling. It’s like Deadmau5 and Maison Martin Margiela got together and had a knitting party. What a gorgeous bit of fun this is?
