Keep It Simple
Color is great in a wardrobe, but when it comes down to it, a few of us here at The Inside Source are dyed-in-the-wool New Yorkers. Translation: We love black. This shot is the perfect example of how textures and detail makes the shade shine. The Comme des Garçons wallet (seen above) is a perennial favorite. Check out the selection available on eBay.

Insta-Peep-O-Gram: Old Treasures
“My grandad passed just before Christmas. On Monday they are getting rid of everything in his house… I managed to take a few keepsakes today. A set of dominoes he carved, his old Ray Bans, WW2 medals and a street guide to Birmingham were amongst the treasures,” writes Lauren Sissons. Above is a sweet homage to her grandfather, his items catalogued and snapped for one very special Instagram shot.

Hot and Cold
How do you accent a black brick wall? One word: warmth. The wood cabinets in the background and the gorgeous leather chair in camel make this office look less Deadhead garage and more Hermes handbag.
True to form, we did a little scouring of eBay to see what we could find to replicate this look in our own homes. Though we couldn’t find anything that exactly matched the absolute treasure of a chair seen in this picture, we did find some… [MORE] solid replacements. Check out this midcentury leather desk chair in a dark claret. This Danish modern swivel desk chair nearly gets it, nailing the camel coloring but designed to be more of a statement piece. If you’re looking for lamps, this black metal desk lamp from the ’50s is a must. Get ‘em before they’re gone!

Summoning Ancestral Energy

By Sade Lythcott

Electric Love is a luxury accessory collection featuring lavish, handmade pieces that translate the art of style into beauty and power. Founded in New York by partners Hitomi Matarese and Charlie Walker, Electric Love was a venture born of their creative bond and spiritual foundation… [MORE]

Both Hitomi and Charlie have a long, storied past in the world of fashion, music, and the sublime. Their collections have developed out of their reverence for the natural world, their need to preserve the secrets of their ancestors and the necessity for continued artistic expression.

Electric Love’s work is a journey into the mystic world of darkness and light. With grace, skill, intuition, and meticulous craftsmanship, Hitomi and Charlie handpick each element of their dreamcatchers based on both aesthetic quality and energy frequency. Every imaginative object, no matter its function, is organically designed using natural elements –- such as crystals, leather, wood and feathers — to magnify the magic intrinsic in all of us.
