Hanging With: Megan Guip Pt 4
Wandering through the home of Wilhelm designer Megan Guip, we spotted a chic dress mannequin on a tripod which holds a vintage fur shawl from her family’s closet. ”I bought the mannequin my first year at Parson’s for a form and space project I was doing in the 80’s, and kept it ever since”. Megan positioned the shrug next to vintage photos of her Transylvanian born grandparents dressed in traditional saxon dress.
We believe this makes for an overall charming family wall. Sourcing eBay for similar mannequin forms, we suggest combining clothes and imagery to honor your ancestry with style in your own home.

Street Style: NY Fashion Week
One of Fashion Week’s attendees shows us how to don the Dr Shivago hat with grace and style at Milk Studios in New York. Take a look at eBay’s inventory of Russian fur pillbox hats to take a page from this chic lady.

We love us some ’70s Cher, especially when casually dressed in this fur-lined coat (Almost Famous, anyone?). If you want some chic hippie flair for yourself, head on over to eBay, where you’ll find plenty of jackets similar to this one. Click here to see.

Yes, we can still call it Yves Saint Laurent since this coat was produced before Hedi Slimane took over the house and rebranded. Brought to our attention by eBay curator mimas-occ in their “Babe in the Wood" collection, this winter-worthy fur is in excellent condition (and currently listed for an excellent price). Click here to see it.

eBay Find: Vintage YSL
Want to rock some (way vintage) Tom Ford? Get your hands on this Yves Saint Laurent fox fur shrug from the early aughts, back when Ford was at the helm of both Gucci and YSL. Seems like ancient history now that Hedi Slimane has taken over, doesn’t it? If you’re a fan of the old school YSL, click here to purchase this gorgeous shrug on eBay.

The Long and the Short of It
By Jenny Bahn
Whether you like it or not, they’re back. I’m talking about athletic shorts. I wore these all the time for the better part of the 90s, for both fashion (spandex floral shorts for school) and function (softball practice). Just like sweatpants, which became chic when designers started making them in fabrics other than terry cloth, athletic shorts are getting another look. Perhaps all I was missing before was a fur coat to pair them with.
