Imagine Yourself in This Masterpiece By Jauretsi Writer Eric Yang is the Editor of Gear Patrol and we consider him a smart tracker of good finds. We invited him to pen a column for our eBay Motors Blog, where he clocked some genius finds in the world of cars. He swears by the site on his opening thoughts: “eBay remains one of the last bastions when it comes to great finds” he says whole-heartedly. This 1969 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 280SL is one of his catches. Current bid $28K roughly for a car that’s worth $43K (at minimum).  In terms of the history of the car, between 1967 and 1971, Mercedes-Benz brought just under 24,000 280 SLs stateside. “There are myriad advantages to owning a vintage Mercedes-Benz, but one of the greatest is the widespread availability of parts to cars” writes Eric. “Even for those over 30 years old, meticulous records are kept at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Center.” Only 3 days left to bid on eBay/Mercedes280SL.
