Super Connected

By taking everyday objects and incorporating them into drawings, Ecuadorian artist and illustrator Javier Perez Estrella plays on the close similarities in shape and structure of objects and organisms. With a pen and an imagination, a flower becomes a gramophone, a straw becomes Charlie Chaplin’s cane, a picked-apart Oreo becomes the world. We think you’ll enjoy them. Click here to see more

Vintage Cameras

Your Instagram filters ain’t got nothin’ on a real vintage Polaroid camera! There’s something special about the washed out, overblown imperfection of an old Pola — and that’s why we’re sticking with the real deal. We suggest you do, too. Click here to see the awesome array of vintage Polaroids currently available on eBay. Oh, and don’t forget about the Diana Mini cam.

Line of Best Fit

Artist Sydney Albertini is certainly an arbiter of the strange. With a catalogue of work that ranges from sculpture to textile work, Albertini’s drawings bring to mind the great Egon Schiele, with his beautifully warped figures. She’s gained the attention of the fashion world, apparently, and will be creating a capsule collection for popular NYC boutique, Five Story.

Mad for Batman
With the most recent cinematic resurrection of the Superman brand hitting theaters this week, Man of Steel, as well as the resurrection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, set to release in 2014, we’ve got superheroes on the brain. Batman is a perennial favorite — and, in our opinion, one of the most successful franchises of the bunch. Mad for Batman, too? Click here to see the wide array of Batman-themed items available on eBay.
