To all the movie geeks, here’s the new trailer you’ve all been waiting for: The 18th Coen Brothers film, Inside Llewyn Davis. Expect a dark-haired Carey Mulligan. The film is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival mid-May, but is slated for release December 20th, 2013 in the United States. We’re already holding our breath. In the meantime, the best you can do is dive into a Coen Brothers box set.

The Director of Drive Makes a New Movie
First off, we love a good GIF movie poster. Secondly, we’re counting the days before we get to experience Only God Forgives, the new script and directing efforts of Nicolas Winding Refns (Drive). Here is all we know: (1) It’s set in the Thailand Boxing underworld and filmed in Bangkok, (2) Ryan Gosling is back and badder than ever, and (3) Kristin Scott Thomas plays someone described as “a merciless and terrifying mafia godmother.” We’re already sold. If you can’t wait any longer, peek at the trailer here.

Sophia Coppola’s New Trailer is Out

Harry Potter’s Emma Watson stars in Sophia Coppola’s new film which is finally coming out June 14 in the States (after it’s upcoming premiere at Cannes this May). The storyline revolves around a series of celebrity robberies in 2008 and 2009 by a gang of teens called “The Bling Ring”. The trailer speaks for itself — complete with a quick shout-out to Virgin Suicides veteran Kirsten Dunst.

Faye Dunaway’s Fashion Film
One of Faye Dunaway’s most interesting roles, Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970) has been shrouded in obscurity for quite some years. The hard-to-find film follows a supermodel fallen from grace with a nervous breakdown looking back on her life. Only a few YouTube teaser clips live online. The DVD was non-existent until last year, when The Cannes Film Festival re-introduced the newly DCP restored print and honored the film by making the homage Cannes 2011 Official Poster. There’s barely a few DVD’s on eBay, but we noticed an amazing selection of prints and some chic movie posters also. Keep an eye open for this film as it slowly unravels in the United States via art house theaters.

We almost forgot Mel Gibson was once a young cutie. Sigourney Weaver glows in 1982, three years after Ridley Scott’s Alien. The couple shines bright at Cannes, except they’re not dating. They’re stepping out to celebrate their movie, Year of Living Dangerously (if you haven’t seen the chemistry, get the movie). Here is the striking 80’s Sigourney on Johnny Carson, rocking shoulder pads and polka dots while speaking on the film. — Jauretsi
