If you have a small urban apartment and need to get creative with space, consider a murphy bed. We agree most murphy designs are quite boring, but here’s a gem found on eBay made of reclaimed barn wood. This professionally made “bed-disguised-as-mirror” was custom created in Denver and shipped to a New Yorker’s artist apartment. Lucky for us this owner is ready to let it go. Bid here.
Put this on your home decor radar. Cultiver rugs add just the right splash of color in modern patterns and shapes. We suggest you add this item to your eBay alert list, so you know the second one becomes available. Click here for an easy eBay alert how-to.

More from Morocco
Nothing quite adds both texture and shine to a room quite like a Moroccan wedding blanket. Not just made for beds, the blankets are often used as rugs — basically anywhere where you want a bit of understated glam. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, but our favorite tends to be like the one seen here.

There’s something so wonderful about the simplicity of this bedroom. No headboard, no color, just textured sheets and a singular oval portrait hunt from the wall. Perfection. Click here to see the small portraits available on eBay and start decorating… minimally.

Mix ‘n Match
With summer upon us, there have been lots of trips out of town for the weekend… and lots of really beautiful cabins to stay in. That’s why we’re loving this bedroom with its mix-and-match blanket scheme. It all feels quite fresh and modern, especially in how it plays against the wood walls. Not decorating your own weekend retreat? Well, it’s a good thing this look is perfect for your own abode.

I Spy: Pharmacist Lamp
Finding the right lamp for your house can be pretty difficult. Some are too big, too small, too dull-looking. This gorgeous brass pharmacist lamp is the way to go, with its compact frame and golden hue. If you’re looking to shine a little light in your boudoir, head on over to eBay, where you’ll find a wide selection of lamps to choose from. And remember, with vintage lighting, you can always rewire them pretty easily.

Bleached-out and devoid of color, this bedroom is a heavenly ode to the joy of simplicity. The bed becomes the primary center, flanked by leaned paintings and a dried up (though no less beautiful) tree. Everything you see here can be found on eBay — from the white duvet to the white shag rug. You might have to move to Paris to score that gorgeous interior, though.

I Spy: Platform Beds
Sometimes you just don’t want to commit to a proper bed frame. The solution? Platform beds. Sleek and low to the ground, these prop you up just enough to make you feel like you’re not permanently couch surfing in your own apartment but not too high so that you feel like you’ve over-committed to an intense decorating scheme. Perfect for space-starved, transient New Yorkers.
