The bag auction ended on Monday, but luckily there’s more time for the graphic competition, where we challenge our readers to alter a bag digitally. It’s easy. Just download the tote image and use your imagination (and Photoshop, or whatever software you like). The winner gets $500 worth of eBay goodies. Have you checked out all the bags in our You Can’t Fake Fashion campaign yet? The fabulous auction ends at 12 p.m. today so make your final bids. If you think you can alter a bag just as creatively as Diane Von Furstenberg or Zac Posen, then show us your design chops! The Inside Source is hosting a graphic contest to “flip” a bag digitally. All you have to do is download the tote image and logo and then tinker away at making your own virtual bag. All artwork must be submitted by 12 p.m. EST on April 5th.

So what’s in it for you? Aside from bragging rights and a feature on The Inside Source, you’ll also receive a $500 eBay gift card and your very own You Can’t Fake Fashion tote signed by some of the campaign’s participating CFDA designers. Enter the contest here.

You Can’t Fake Fashion Launches with a Bang

Is there anything more fun than collaborating with 90 Top Designers to make a cool bag? Throwing the party to celebrate that collaboration! On Monday night, both Steven Kolb, Chief Executive Officer of the Council Designers of America (CFDA) and Devin Wenig, President of eBay Marketplaces, gathered around a “who’s who” in Fashion to toast to ”original design”. The campaign You Can’t Fake Fashion (launched the same day) aims at stopping counterfeit dead in its tracks. After dinner, it was my turn to take the floor by manning the turntables and… [MORE] getting the party bouncing with a bevy of hip guests bopping their heads up and down including Mara Hoffman, Pamela Love, Cushnie et Ochs, Rebecca Minkoff, Ruffian, and Steven Alan — the list goes on and on. Your New Best Friend

Proenza Schouler held it down with their “It Bag” of the last two years, the PS1. As indicated by the countless knockoffs that ensued, including a rather cheeky attempt by Target, the PS1 was a wild success. Competitors will certainly start trying to replicate their newer style, the PS11, seen here. There’s a flood of PS1’s on eBay right now. The newer PS11 is harder to come by.
