I Spy: Cocktail Rings

Made in both men’s and women’s sizes, this Saint Laurent lace-up boot in shiny black leather is the perfect addition to any wardrobe. There are a ton of YSL shoes on eBay right now (think Stefano Pilati era), but if you want them infused with new designer Hedi Slimane’s fresh take on the brand, you’re going to have to head to the stores.

The Cape

Here’s Jane Birkin in her cape circa 1966. Wasn’t she awesome? If you want to emulate her style, there are a few capes on eBay from YSL and Phillip Lim. There’s also a sweet vintage find, as well as a red plaid one from Hot Hollywood.

Yes, Please

Metal accents started being de rigueur a few seasons ago, but it was mostly on heels and sandals. Yves Saint Laurent’s (when it was still Yves Saint Laurent) Spring 2012 collection had those epic pairs of pumps with the gold plates, which caused Style.com’s Tim Blanks to note, “The shoes! The shoes! Front-rowers Kylie Minogue and Elettra Wiedemann could barely tear their… [MORE] eyes away from the footwear.” Chloe took modern Grecian chic to the next level with pairs of demi-heels and sandals with metal straps about the ankle. Even Lanvin got into the metal cuff game. Giuseppe Zanotti, however, is adding major style to streetwear with these leather sneaks (seen above) featuring gold wraparound bands. And to think this whole time we never knew what our kicks were missing.
