Fit for a Queen In the last two years, designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have reinvented the Valentino brand, refocusing their efforts on exquisite femininity and a clear dedication to fits and fabrication, as seen here in this photograph from their SS 2013 show. Their most recent collections exude a sense of wealth and luxury certainly suitable for royalty — young royalty, in particular. Lace is one of those items that remains a staple for feminine strength and artisanship. Valentino introduced extremely thoughtful designs and handwork this past Fashion Week Paris. Erdem was on the same game with their own response to lace fever. Luckily, if you’re an expert eBay searcher, you’ll be a jump ahead of the trend, and sift for your very own vintage treasure such as this  60’s white cotton lace dress pictured above (center, bottom row). Valentino Gracefully Takes Center Stage By Sade Lythcott Snagging a ticket to the New York City Ballet just got a little more chic, that’s because Valentino has designed this seasons costumes for their Fall gala. Signature Valentino red pops up in this “collection” of sixteen costumes although the designer stuck primarily to a black-and-white palette.  “I like the idea of something romantic, for girls who want to dance and flirt,” Valentino says. “She is just beautiful, and I liked to see how happy she was wearing something so different.” (photo: thecut)
