Sock-it-tude
We love rule breakers of the “Do & Don’t” genre, so we appreciate this fashionista busting barriers with her Nike socks and open-toe heels. The photo was snapped by Tommy Ton during Spring/Summer fashion week in Paris.
For the mavericks, eBay has a ton of Nike crew socks to emulate this look. Consider the reverse strategy — black Nike socks with bright colored heels.

Micro

One of street style photographer Tommy Ton’s strong suits is capturing the looks of fashion’s most stylishly dressed women up close and personal. His lens serves as a microscope of sorts, pulling out the details: the buttery hem of leather pants, the oil-slick iridescent sheen of a futuristic blouse, the spiky detail of a heel. Check out some highlights from this season.

A Boy’s Life

When it comes to street style, the women and men of fashion week go toe-to-toe, neither party backing down for the sake of inferior accessories, less-than-magnficient shoes, or ho-hum handbags. Winter, however, can be the great equalizer, meaning that the decadent, impractical items get tucked away in favor of a more practical aesthetic, all in the name of warmth. But even when dressing for the cold, you don’t have to sacrifice your style. (You’ll see no puffy coats shot by the likes of Tommy Ton, after all). Here, the gentlemen of the menswear shows this January all sport gorgeous, textural pieces — blazers with rough edges, tough military coats, dandy scarves. It might not be the regalia we drool over from warmer months, but it will have to do.

Be a Sport
Athletics had a heavy hand in fashion last year and we suspect it will continue throughout 2013. Letterman jackets, fashion sweats, high heels disguised as sneakers… the list goes on. But most of what we’ve previously seen merely hinted at sports. This fashionable lady takes it to the next level, donning a proper Chicago Bulls jacket — in nylon, no less. If you feel like staying on trend and repping your hometown, check out the selection of letterman jackets on eBay. Whether you’re a Bulls fan or you’re feeling the Clippers these days, we think you’ll find what you’re looking for. And don’t forget to kick that sporty outfit up a notch and pair it with heels by Balenciaga or Alexander Wang.

Hip to be Square

By Jenny Bahn

Looking for a holiday gift to give that dashing gentleman in your life? Sometimes it’s best to think small. Pocket squares are a beautiful, delicate item to give, easily customizable to the taste of your adored. Check out the rather gorgeous collection of Hermes pocket squares on eBay. Hermes is an undeniably classic brand, always chic and  timeless. Their pocket square prints are quirky and unique — from roses to paisleys to, yes, even dancing ballerinas. Buyer beware: It might be hard to pick just one.
