Company Girl: Louise du Toit  of Acne
Title: Acne Studios Country Manager, North America.
What you generally do all day: Work! I run around, visit stores and clients, and try to make sure Acne is represented in the best way possible on shop floors as well as in press. Protector of the brand.
Describe work environment: I’m the old lady in office, believe it or not. My employees “keep me young.” Lots of rap, trap, whatever they are into. As long as everyone is happy, I’m happy. We have a beautiful office downtown. Crazy 360 views of the city. As long as we are hitting goals and budgets, the vibe is pretty relaxed. We all get along and work together to make Acne Studios what it is here in North America. Love my job.
Favorite eBay score: A red Celine scarf.
Clothing: Coat: Acne | Shirt: Acne | Jeans: Acne | Boots: Acne | Sunglasses: Acne | Bag: Celine | Necklace: J.Crew | Nathan’s Dog Sweater: American Apparel

Leandra Medine vs Suzy Menkes
Here’s Leandra Medine (aka the Man Repeller) rocking her golden mustard suit at the Rodarte Fall 2013 show. Her closing essay on Fashion Week ("Blog is a Dirty Word") presented a very articulate counterpoint to Suzy Menkes’ T Magazine piece, "The Circus of Fashion". Suzy’s piece received 42 comments whereas Leandra received a whopping 132, but who’s keeping count? The debate about the new army of bloggers and their validity is a powerful one, so give both articles a chance. Lots of truth is expressed in each.

The Thin Red Belt
By Jauretsi
Sometimes the perfect outfit jumps out at you for the most simple reasons. Perhaps your eyes travel to one part of the body, in this case, we adore the classic thin red belt this woman is wearing among a sea of neutrals. The image, published by what-do-i-wear via fashionising, illustrates a simple theory done correctly. The eBay closet has a myriad of thin red belts with different adornments from baby bows to gold/silver buckles. Take a page from this easy looking outfit and make it your own.

Trend Spotting: Paris
By Sade Lythcott
This past Fashion Week, we spotted (and coveted) the green Kenzo Tiger sweatshirt and baseball caps, both seen on the streets of New York. It seems Paris is merging the two fashion statements with a new take on the Kenzo Tiger paired with a baseball cap adorned with a Chanel logo. Would you rock this look?

A Perfect Outfit
The ladies at what-do-i-wear captured this classic look on the streets. It just illustrates that taste does not have to break the wallet.

The O.G. is Back This Fashion Week

By Jauretsi

Spotted on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Center, the original street photographer Bill Cunningham was roaming around with his adorable manner. I caught him shyly snapping Italian Vogue’s Franca Sozzani as she entered her vehicle while the Sartorialist’s Scott Schuman shot her alongside tons of new bloggers drowning in shutter clicks. For a brief second, everyone turned to Bill and time stood still. Scott took a humble step back and paused. Grace turned to Bill with the most elegant poise for picture… and click click, Bill got his shot. The universe was restored to order and the frenetic energy re-emerged.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of watching the documentary on this pioneer of street photography… run, don’t walk, to Netflix now, and stream Bill Cunningham New York.  We believe all of new school should study old school.
