Florals are Back
We noticed a plethora of floral prints on the runways this past New York Fashion Week. The editors at Elle.com did a proper round-up of all the collections to keep on your radar this fall season. Here’s the floral report.

The Kenzo Sweatshirt… Still Here
Last Fashion Week, we mentioned the coveted item of the moment was the emerald green Kenzo sweatshirt. This past New York Fashion Week, thanks to the folks at what-do-i-wear, we couldn’t help fall inlove with the designers same sweater in pure white. We call it “the blizzard” Kenzo.

Trendspotting: The Grid
This week we’ve seen a lot of designers thinking inside the box, so to speak, replacing the crazed, anything-goes patterns of the last few seasons with the contained formality of a grid. Everyone from Alexander Wang (seen here) to Ohne Titel is circumventing print mania for Fall 2013. And Mathieu Mirano’s sheer, square adorned gowns are proof that a little self-restraint in the print department can make a big statement.

Diehard Fashionistas
Saturday was the first morning after blizzard, Nemo. The streets were a chunky puddle with snow. Here’s a woman at Lincoln Center awaiting her chariot — a New York taxi. I stared at this fashion warrior as she had to step into the ice cold ocean with her hot pink pumps to whisk away to the next show. Dedication ladies!
