Insta-Peep-O-Gram: Coachella

Off the runway, models Hanne Gaby Odiele, Alana Zimmer, Kasia Struss, and Jacquelyn Jablonski are thick as thieves, running around the streets of New York and Paris and living the life of your average, gorgeous supermodel. This year, they made the trip out to Coachella and we followed the foursome via Instagram for a journey of music and, seemingly more importantly these days, fashion. Make sure to put these girls on your follow list for future model-off-duty group activities of the very fab variety.

Insta-Peep-O-Gram: Models Off Duty

“Previous to the Internet, models received their booking value through runway, campaigns, and editorials. Now models get their booking value through social media, which combines their street style presence […] with their own social media channels like Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr,” writes Craig Arend, the street style photographer behind Modeloffduty.com. In the post-supermodel era, the idea that models are in charge of their own “brand” is an important one. And with girls like Cara Delevingne amassing nearly one million followers on Instagram these days, clients surely take note.

Model Moment: Chloe Norgaard

With her loud sense of style and that sherbet-colored hair, it’s no wonder that Chloe Norgaard is popping up on the runways this season. Waiting backstage, Chloe sports striped pants, a sporty letterman’s jacket, and a killer pair of fingerless skeleton gloves. Surprising even to us, eBay has tons of them.

Model Off Duty: Wild Thing

Model Caroline Brasch Nielsen has become one of the clear standouts when it comes to model street style. The girl is just as good off the runway as she is on. Here, she’s rocking a head-to-toe denim ensemble (throw a jean jacket over that and you’ve got what someone just told me is called a “Canadian tuxedo”) paired with a simple animal-print trench. We love the low-slung boyfriend jeans and the simple braided belt. And those cat-eye glasses… swoon!
