Atmospheric

There’s nothing quite like being at a runway show. The cameras flashing, the music that rattles the walls, the beautiful people in beautiful clothes — it really is a sight to be seen. For those of us who can’t make the fashion circuit, there are photographers who do a pretty bang-up job making sure we feel like we’re there. Style.com has picked their favorite “atmospheric” shots from last season. You can check them all out here.

Ready to Sundance
Every year in January, the Sundance Film Festival draws indie hopefuls and serious stars to the streets of Park City, Utah, where a standout film can make (or break) a career. It’s a week of see-and-be-seen, meeting-and-greeting, where it’s important you look your best, despite taking place in an otherwise sleepy ski town. Here, we have our dream Sundance outfit, complete with leather leggings to keep you toasty, moon boots and snow goggles if you feel inclined to hit the slopes, as well as some memorable accessories.

Deep Roots
By Jenny Bahn
Being low maintenance usually works in your favor when you’re a girl. You save time, money, and you’re generally more comfortable (I’ll take a pair of cool booties over some sky-highs any day, thank you very much). As a blonde, however, there’s one thing I can’t avoid: roots. I’m the girl who waits as long as she possibly can to whip things back into shape. My colorist recommends visiting him every four weeks. I’d prefer to stick to four months, frankly.
That’s why I love whenever I see roots taken to the next level, making my laziness seem fashionable. Sky Ferreira’s got the old school, 90s Drew Barrymore thing going on right now, and this past season, Dries Van Noten pushed it to the extreme, giving blondes and brunettes alike roots so wrong they had to be right.
