Insta-Peep-O-Gram: Damien Hirst at Art Basel
There is no shortage of Damien Hirst at Art Basel this year, including this work on display at London’s BLANK GALLERY. The “Dead Black Brilliant Utopia, 2013” print incorporates diamond dust for that extra special something (and a heftier pricetag, to be sure).

Pinned Down
It’s Flashback Friday! Remember these? If one of your friends didn’t have a collection in kindergarten, you’ve surely seen them in your local Natural History Museum at some point during the last decade. There’s something gorgeously morbid about what can best be described as “butterfly taxidermy,” something artist Damien Hirst capitalized on big time with his million-dollar series of butterfly paintings featuring the beautiful bugs trapped in paint behind glass, as reported by The Inside Source early last December. If you’re looking to incorporate the look into your home, eBay’s got a swarm of selections you should check out.

Chanel Throws a Beach Party
By Jauretsi
Last night, Chanel went homestyle with a chic Barbecue bonanza and quite possibly the best party of the week (although the week is still young). Cohosted by Art.sy, the bash took place in a tent behind Soho House Miami Beach with a gaggle of fabulous folks like Pharrell Williams, Damien Hirst, and Lenny Kravitz (yes, even Martha Stewart showed up to the beachside gathering). Me? I was tucked away in a booth with cool queen of the web, Sophia Amoruso of Nasty Gal bopping our heads to DJ Nick Cohen’s eclectic mash up set including “Girls” by Beastie Boys to ”Somethings Gotta Hold on Me” by Etta James. It wasn’t until Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” dropped that we noticed a fellow lady with great legs stand up and let loose to tear the rug. Go Demi!

Damien Hirst In Your Loving Room
By Jauretsi
Wedding gifts are always tough to buy for young couples. In this particular case, Mike Meiré and his wife Michelle Elie simplified their life and simply bought themselves their own wedding gift: a Damien Hirst painting. Ahhh, the beauty of being married to a cool art director. To read more, check out this article in The New York Times Home section. To all the Hirst fans out there, take a look at eBay’s inventory of Hirst work to discover the range of collectibles available right now — from an espresso cup ($78) to a signed original Eyestorm edition ($2000). It’s never too early to begin art collecting.
