A Gorgeous Mess
By Jenny Bahn
Artist and photographer Jack Hardwicke’s work is like looking out into the cosmos — a vibrant, glorious cacophony of the most vibrant colors you’ve ever seen. The art bleeds, blends, burns out. It is loud and undeniable, but not unappealing-ly overt. I can’t help but think about lava lamps and, in a few instances not pictured here, Pink Floyd album covers. If this is the new psychedelic, then I’m gladly a hippy.
