Sample Sale for Sandy

By Jauretsi

When Julie Gilhart sends a message, you stop to read it. The former Barneys fashion director has since moved on to pursue her love of surfing, support political causes, and champion ecologically minded clothing. This week, she’s working on a designer sample sale with Waves for Water and Architecture for Humanity to help collect funds to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy. On November 27th and 28th, the Bowery Hotel will host a sample sale featuring items from 150 clothing and accessories designers for both men and women, with more donations coming in each day. Plus, Gilhart adds, “Who doesn’t need a little wardrobe update?”

"It’s simple," she writes, urging industry friends to come check out the inventory. "The more people we get to shop, the more money we will make for these two organizations that are doing such great work to help folks recover and rebuild after Sandy."

Here’s the facts:

Where - The Bowery Hotel, 4 East 3rd Street, New York, NY
