On Point with Animal Print
Holly Kiser has grown up alot since we first saw her as the winner of Make Me a Supermodel. Monday night, we spotted her at Nur Khan & Bally’s book launch for POPLIPPS co-hosted by Nylon. Here she is wearing next seasons top trend (as seen on runways this week), the undying animal print. Paired with a Native American neck choker? Meowwww!
Take a look at some brilliant Native American chokers available on eBay.

Animal Print Inspiration

Model rockers Karen Elson brings out the cool chicks, such as Atlanta de Cadenet who came out to support her friend on Saturday performing at Johan Lindberg’s event for BLK DNM during New York Fashion Week. Check out her crop topped animal shirt. Currently on eBay, we found a cropped Leopard design we think is just fabulous.

Animal Print Shades
Solange Knowles came to support Alexander Wang for his SS2014 runway show on Saturday sporting a sleek pair of animal print cat eye shades. We found a few pair of animal print Kate Spade sunglasses on eBay to get in on the meow factor.

Love for Lanvin
Pre-Fall 2013 collections have just begun and one thing is clear: animal prints aren’t going anywhere. From Givenchy cowhide to Lanvin leopard, critters are the print du jour. Above, is a look from Lanvin — a veritable feeding frenzy of three different animal-inspired motifs, playing against one another while remaining oddly complementary. In addition to taking prints to the maximum this season, Lanvin was perfectly luxe with their play of textures, blending wools, furs, silks, and leathers into outfits to die for. To see the rest of the collection, click here.

Model Off Duty: Wild Thing
By Jenny Bahn
Model Caroline Brasch Nielsen has become one of the clear standouts when it comes to model street style. The girl is just as good off the runway as she is on. Here, she’s rocking a head-to-toe denim ensemble (throw a jean jacket over that and you’ve got what someone just told me is called a “Canadian tuxedo”) paired with a simple animal-print trench. We love the low-slung boyfriend jeans and the simple braided belt. And those cat-eye glasses… swoon!

Into the Wild
By Jenny Bahn
Animal print coats — cheetah, in particular — have always been a little too, well, feral for my tastes. For whatever reason, it’s never been something I could pull off. That doesn’t stop me from appaulding the girls who do and can (Kate Moss for Supreme, anyone?). When considering a fur coat, I like to stay as animal friendly as I can, and I’m a big advocate of vintage for the sole reason that you’re not putting new demand for a product that sometimes utilizes inhumane practices. If you’re going to stay warm this winter, try to be as animal friendly as possible and, if you must go for fur, buy a gently used one. Here are some cheetah-print coats I found on eBay, as well as some pretty swank vintage furs.
