Chanel Toasts the Tribeca Film Festival

On Wednesday night, Chanel hosted the 8th Annual Chanel Tribeca Film Festival Artists dinner at the Odeon restaurant. In addition to New York film staples like Robert Deniro and Griffin Dunne, a bunch of new young blood came to represent as well. Names like Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Jen Brill, Mickey Sumner, and Dree Hemingway cozied up to the iconic restaurant, all looking darling in their Chanel ensembles — such as Alexa Chung (seen above). Viva la film!

No one captures the playful vibrancy of the fashion industry quite like illustrator Damien Florebert Cuypers. Using soft, chunky lines and impressionistic tendencies, Damien is able to convey the likenesses of fashion mainstays such as Alexa Chung, Giovanna Battaglia, and Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist without coming off as predictable or obvious. His unique talents have been commissioned by everyone from T Magazine to the online website of all things gorgeous, Nowness.com. He’s also illustrated a beautiful French children’s book by author Arthur Rimbaud, Le Bateau Ivre.
