Round Two
Following Aretha Franklin’s performance for President Obama’s first inauguration, Beyonce held it down for round two. It seems fitting, given that Beyonce sang Etta James’s “At Last” for the President and the First Lady four years ago, at the Neighborhood Ball in 2009, where the the two had their first dance. To have been upgraded to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” for the main event seems perfectly fitting. We can’t imagine anyone else having done a better job.
