Eternal Flame

When shopping for the holidays, I like to stick with a theme. One year it was terrariums; the next year it was Taschen books. When you’ve got a ton of people to buy for, sometimes it’s easiest to take one particular item and get it for everyone on your list — not the same exact thing, of course, but personalized to cater to each specific individual. This year, I’m getting all my friends vintage, collector-worthy lighters. eBay has a treasure trove of them online. This chrome fighter plane table lighter from the 50’s is pretty killer. If you want something a bit more romantic, here’s an enamel Renaissance-themed one from Italy. And if you ever wanted to spark a flame using a knight in shining armor, eBay has that, too.
