Booth Rat: Diane Von Furstenberg, Fashion Week (Spring 2013) By Jauretsi This year’s show for Diane Furstenberg was probably one of the most unusual mixes of fashion and technology I’ve ever seen. Traditionally, at every finale, designers always greet and thank their audience with a small bow… only entering the runway a few feet. If you’re a heavyweight like Diane, you can flip the script and do whatever you want. So she did just that with the utmost grace. Just at the shows closing, Diane strolled out on stage with Google co-founder Sergey Brin and DVF’s Creative Director Yvan Mispelaere sporting the new Google goggles. As all three walked the entire runway and faced every top editor and celeb sitting front row, Rolling Stone’s joyous track “Burning Rainbow” scored the thunderous applause.
